ESA BIC Castilla-La Mancha helps ambitious startups transform innovative technologies into scalable businesses through funding, expert mentoring, access to industry partners and integration into one of Europe’s most prestigious space entrepreneurship networks.
Who can apply?
The programme is open to startups, entrepreneurs, researchers and SMEs developing innovative products or services that either use space technologies in non-space markets (spin-off) or bring terrestrial innovations into the space sector (spin-in).
What do startups receive?
Selected companies can access up to €60,000 in non-equity funding together with tailored business coaching, technical mentoring, legal and intellectual property support, networking opportunities and access to specialised facilities.
How does the incubation journey work?
Each startup follows a personalised incubation pathway lasting between 6 and 24 months, combining milestone-based funding, regular mentoring sessions and continuous support to accelerate both technological and commercial development.

Beyond funding, ESA BIC Castilla-La Mancha offers a multi-site incubation model with free access to incubation facilities across the region, allowing startups to establish themselves in the location that best fits their needs. Supported by a strong network of industry, research centres and public institutions, startups benefit from a collaborative environment designed to accelerate validation, development and market growth. Unlike traditional incubation programmes, selected companies may also benefit from an additional 12 months of post-incubation support, helping them consolidate growth, attract investment and scale their business beyond the initial ESA BIC programme.
